Welcome to Ability Learning Center! Our program is designed to prepare children ages, 2-5, socially, behaviorally, and academically for kindergarten. We offer small class sizes in a play-based yet structured learning environment. Your child will have an individualized curriculum to fit their needs and abilities. Children will also learn to play cooperatively with peers, work on toilet training if necessary, and get therapies through a push in and pull out model to support their needs within the classroom. We work on many skills needed to participate in the academic environment. These could include; learning to attend to a task, sitting for circle time or instruction, recognizing their name, and/or following directions. Behavior skills can include; compliance with non-preferred tasks, responding to group instructions, problem-solving and working with peers. Family participation is highly encouraged. We have fun and exciting monthly field trips for children to work on community integration and generalize the appropriate skills they have learned in the classroom. Families get the opportunity to work alongside teachers and therapists and find friendship and needed support through other families. The result is a nurturing and family-friendly environment!
